Mint's goal is to provide dentistry that is undetectable. That's why we use CRYSTAL Zirconia crowns and all-porcelain crowns, the strongest and most aesthetically translucent restorations available in dentistry today. At MINT there is no worry about esthetics.
Most all other dental practices use an inferior Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal (PFM) crown. These restorations, built on a dark metal alloy base, tend to look opaque and monochromatic, with a darker grayness at the gum line. Mint's all ceramic dental restorations made with Crystal Zirconia match the appearance and translucency of natural teeth, without the gray line at the gum line.
In lab tests, Crystal Zirconia crowns and bridges were TWICE as strong as PFM (Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal) restorations, and up to FIVE times stronger than other all-ceramic restorations used in dentistry. There simply is NO dental material stronger than CRYSTAL Zirconia.
CRYSTAL Zirconia is 100% biocompatible because the body does not reject zirconia. Unlike amalgams and metal alloys used in most other practices, the body accepts zirconia as a natural material, so you don't have to worry about allergies or adverse reactions.
Getting a crown requires at least two visits to our office. Initially, we will remove decay, shape the tooth, and fit it with a temporary crown. Usually this process takes less than 45 minutes.
On the subsequent visit we will remove the temporary crown, and then fit and adjust the final crown. Finally, we will cement the crown (with the best cement on the market) into place and you have a new beautiful looking tooth. This usually takes less than 3o minutes.
